Blair Carter has worked as an educational professional since 2007 and is dedicated to breaking down barriers to individuals’ open futures. Within his career Blair has taught in a range of secondary schools, supporting students as a Head of Subject, Head of Year, and Head of House. Currently, Blair lectures on a range of degree qualifications and is a course leader for three Open University BA Education courses delivered at UCP. Initially graduating with a degree in Sociology, where he was presented with the Ivy Black Award for an outstanding contribution to the subject, Blair has completed a MSc in Education at the University of Oxford, attained a National Award in Special Educational Needs Coordination, and is currently completing a PhD at UCL where he is calling for policy change to deconstruct dis/ability at the macro level.
