Global practice sharing and learning is a cornerstone of the support that Advance HE provides for member institutions. Through funding small case studies, our Global Impact Grants are an opportunity for Advance HE members to share success stories about higher education projects that have had a demonstrable impact on their staff or students.
Grants of up to £1,000 were awarded to 15 successful applicants from Advance HE international member institutions to provide short case studies of recent practice (750-1000 words) that align to one of three themes (innovations in teaching and learning, building inclusion and belonging, and engaging distributed leadership).
The case studies are available to members as examples of international best practices.
Global Impact Grants 2022-2023 compilation report and webinars
This collection of case studies, the second round of Global Impact Grant funding from the 2022-23 academic year, brings together higher education practices from across the globe on the themes of Building inclusion and belonging, Innovations in teaching and learning and Engaging distributed leadership, showing the sheer range of impressive initiatives being undertaken globally to support the student and staff experience in higher education.
This publication shares with you fifteen inspiring case studies of recent work from our member institutions around the world which have had a demonstrable impact on their staff or students.
We have convened two webinars to share the impact of last year’s awarded projects. Each webinar will each feature five or six short presentations from grant winners who were recognised for their impactful initiatives relating to ‘building inclusion and belonging’, ‘innovations in teaching and learning’ or ‘engaging distributed leadership’. These webinars are opportunity to hear more from the authors about their work and will feature presenters from eleven institutions in six different countries.
Each session will feature a different selection of speakers and you can read the case studies in the Global Impact Grants report.

Building inclusion and belonging

Payment
Advance HE will supply a Purchase Order for the grant funding. Institutions will need to raise an invoice for payment of the grant funding. Advance HE requires this invoice to be submitted by 14 July 2023 to ensure payment. Payment will only be made on receipt of an invoice from the institution.

Explore the Global Impact Grants 21-22
Advance HE made 17 awards of Global Impact Grants in July 2022 with the intention of sharing work conducted across our international membership that has had a demonstrable impact on staff or students. Submissions were received from over 10 different countries across a range of areas of higher education practice.
These case studies from around the world address three specific issues in global higher education: Academic Development, Disciplinary Teaching and Learning, and Student Success.
